Harness colors to save you time and money

Color analysis is not only a fun little hobby for little ladies, who want to buy the right color of lipstick.

Colors are one of the basic building blocks on the planet.

There is a simple way for you to find out how you, too, can make your life easier, better, and happier by using colors that “sing your praises” wherever you go.

Once you do, surprising doors will open for you, like magic.

I speak out of experience. My passion for colors and helping people discover theirs, have lasted for almost 30 years now.

Colors work silently 24/7 either to support you or to do just the opposite.

The secret sauce in colors is that you must find out where on the color spectrum you are with the colors you received as a birthday present. You have a coloring, like everyone else. To make you feel comfortable in your skin, you need to dress in colors that are an extension of your own coloring.

That we call harmony and beauty.

When you start looking at colors according to their color characteristics, you will never have to wonder which colors you need to choose for yourself.

An Example of Wrong and Right Coloring

Sad colors
Happy colors

Here we have a lady with strong coloring. If you have not studied colors and how they work, this can easily happen. I am not in the picture but could very well be because this is exactly what happened to me.

It is a picture of one of our models at the photo shoot for my bestselling book on amazon: Color Your Life, Look Great — Spend Less.

A Photo Shoot in an Old Mansion

Several years ago, I met a group of young ladies when visiting Tallinn, Estonia. They told me that I had a different take on color analysis. They had not heard anyone talk about colors this way. They were astounded by what they saw and heard during my presentation.

At the end of our session, everyone wanted to know which colors were the best for each person, of course. Then an idea came up that I should write a book about what I had showed and explained in my presentation.

I was easily convinced. Everyone was excited and the ladies took it upon themselves to make the arrangements for us to do a photo shoot so that we could have pictures for the different color types. As a result, the book was written and is now available in English and Estonian.

The photoshoot took from morning to late at night with lots of ladies coming and going all day. Everybody had so much fun, and we all made new friends as an extra benefit.

Just after two weeks from launching, the English version, Color Your Life — Look Great, Spend Less became a №1 New Release in Business Fashion & Image category on amazon to my surprise.

Today We Know More

When color analysis first came out, it was based only on four different categories that were named after the seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. This was in the early 1980s/90s.

The concept changed my whole life from an office worker into a “fashionista”.

After a time, working with only the four alternatives, we began to realize that there must be more than just four groups of color to choose from. The more we learned, the more we knew that the four seasons needed to be elaborated on for a better result.

Once the categories were not so strict and we understood that we needed to dip into at least one of the other four categories, it became easier to “get it right” for the customer.

That´s when my color business took off in a big way.

Colors Are Vibrations and They Vibrate All the Time

We talk about colors and how beautiful something is. We go to nature for holidays to relax and feel better. It feels better to be surrounded by nature than by cement blocks.

Mother Nature is in charge. It is us people, who have lost touch with the basic laws of the planet. Colors are something we take for granted.

Colors are used any which way because we are not used to paying for colors. We can buy products in any color without paying extra.

Fortunately, many people are now waking up and realizing that we are not using colors in the best possible way. Colors “click” when used in a harmonious way.

When used like way Mother Nature intended, they make us feel and look great.

Because we are part of nature. Always have been and always will be.

Hopefully we have now reached a time when we start to focus on colors from a different point of view. There is lots of experience on the subject to prove that color analysis is not just a little fun game for the ladies.

What Colors Make You Look Expensive?

This is a question I get a lot. People want to look expensive. Looking expensive for one person is different than for the next person. Everyone has colors that make them look expensive.

In fact, when you are using the colors that resonate with your personal coloring, you cannot avoid looking expensive.

Looking expensive means looking the best ever. That happens when you use the colors that are an extension of your own individual colors.

It´s as simple as that.

You Are the Whole Package

Sometimes people want to know which colors to use near their face to get the best possible look.

This way of thinking is not giving you the best possible outcome.

My advice is to focus on YOU as a whole package. That way your presence is stronger. When you do that, there is no need to use loud, screaming colors.

Colors resonate with each other so why not take advantage of that? When you work with colors, they either bring you to the fore or push you back into the background.

If you want to be seen, go with harmony.

Out of 6 Dominant Color Characteristics, 1 is the Best One for You

You can still think of the colors as one of the seasons if you like.

In addition to thinking about a season, think about what kind of colors you see each season.

This brings you closer to the best possible result for you.

If your coloring is more light than deep, then you need to turn your attention to the two seasons that have light coloring: Spring and Summer.

If your coloring is deep rather than light, then the opposite is true. You need to look at the two seasons with deep colors, i.e.: Autumn and Winter.

If your coloring is light, the best thing you can do for yourself is to stay away from deep colors because they overpower your personal colors.

Ignite Your Inner Glow

The system is all about matching your own colors to “ignite” your inner glow.

Strong colors catch our attention easily. This is what can be seen on ads. When we see only the colors, the product in question will get the attention. Not the person in the picture.

If your colors don´t match your colors, then those colors are at center stage advertising the clothes that you wear. Not you.

You can find your best color scheme by focusing on the 6 color characteristics, which are:

· LIGHT

· DEEP

· WARM

· COOL

· MUTED

· CLEAR

Think which characteristic describes your coloring best.

The system is simple once you learn the basics.

Shopping Gets Easier

My customers have told me often that once they discover their best colors, they get together with their friends and swap clothes. This way they can make room in their closets without having to throw away anything.

This way clothes get recycled. People have a good time and feel better for doing something to decrease the mountains of waste that are accumulating due to the unhealthy fast fashion trend.

When shopping for new pieces, people save time, money, and energy by not looking at everything that is on offer.

You only need to look at clothes, make-up, hair colors, etc. in your own range of colors.

All the rest you can forget about because there is no value in stuff that does not resonate with your own coloring.

Many people have told me that learning their own color scheme is such a relief. It makes life so much easier.

Once you have joined this group of people, you, too, will agree. I´m sure.

A Career in Color Consulting or Learning for Personal Use

If you want to discover your best colors and/ or would like to start a business working with colors, I can only tell you what I did to achieve my goals and dreams through working with colors.

You need to read and learn as much as you can about the subject.

Make a plan and stick to it.

For me it took two years of learning, training, and starting to see customers as a business before I let go of my well-paying, boring, and lonely day job as a translator in the corporate world.

Today, the learning is easier because there is more information available.

I have made all the mistakes and learned from them, so you don´t have to repeat the same mistakes.

Every new journey starts with one step.

If you would like to learn more about how colors work, your first step is to learn about the simpler method of color analysis from my books:
